Nightlife in the Philippines

From fancy beach-side bars to uptown city-side dance clubs, the nightlife in the Philippines has it all. The country has many great places to unwind and let yourself loose. Boracay

Party-lovers will want to make this island their home, as the nightlife here is buzzing and it really is pretty amazing. You can visit their lively beach clubs and bars to dance the night away or meet new people. During the peak months i.e. December – May, Boracay is crawling with local and international tourists. The nightlife during these months is the best, and it can get absolutely wild. You will also find that people often start with their drinking scenes fairly early in the day.

There are tons of live performances and places to explore on Station 1 in White Beach, generally the most crowded strip on the island. One of the best things to do is to go on the famous Boracay Pub Crawl which starts at Boracay Beach Pub.

Cebu City

Cebu City’s diverse nightlife scene offers a unique vibe to party people and it’s often an attraction of its own. Especially In the third weekend of January, Cebu City hosts the famous Sinulog Festival. One of the many religious festivals in the Philippines where the whole city turns into a dance floor. They also have popular music festivals like LifeDance taking place during this time. 

For bars and clubs with a wide variety of music, visit Mango Avenue and Mango Square. Unfortunately, prostitution here is pretty high; it has been a visible trend in some of the big cities of SouthEast Asia. But Cebu City still stands tall as a wonderful place to flaunt your dance moves with party lovers from across the world.

Manila 

If you love to party all night long, you might not want to leave Manila once you’ve experienced its nightlife. Manila has more nightclubs than any other city or island in the country; this says enough about its reputation for nightlife in the Philippines. Nightlife in Manila is a melting pot of different cultures and people from all over the world.

Pop-ups and Speakeasy in Poblacion in Makati are a great way to meet people and then, or even the bars in Merakana shoe centre in Cubao. The clubs in Pasig or Bonifacio high street have an entry fee, so make sure you do your homework.  Apart from Makati, some of the best nightlife districts in Manila are: Malate, Ermita, and Paranaque City. Yes, red lights district are found around the city but remember though that this doesn’t define this vibrant, party-loving city.

El Nido 

El Nido is possibly the most visited place in all of the Philippines. It is filled with beautiful beaches, and it’s known for its paradise-like views and dive sites. When it comes to nightlife in the Philippines, it isn’t one of the big players like Boracay or Manila. But if you’re looking to have a good night out, El Nido won’t disappoint. The lack of trendy nightclubs is made up for by cool seaside hippie bars. These are ideal for socializing and you do get cheap beer in most of them too.

Panglao Island

A island adjacent to Bohol, Panglao Island offers a swimming cave, beaches, waterfalls, coral reefs and of course, some amazing dive spots. We love the chill vibes of Panglao Island’s nightlife. If you’re someone who enjoys the casual nightlife which revolves around socializing over a couple of cold ones, you’ll love Panglao Island’s vibes.

The island has a good set of bars that keep the action going even after the sunsets. The nightlife here is pretty much centred around Alona Beach and rarely do the places stay open until late at night.

Coron

Being one of the most iconic places in the Philippines, the best thing about the nightlife in Coron is cheap alcohol! There aren’t many options when it comes to nightclubs in Coron, but the little town’s nightlife sure is fun yet relaxed. So if you’re looking for a change of pace to your partying experience, Coron is one place you can definitely visit. You will even find a couple of chilled out bars which often have live bands playing. A diver’s paradise is certainly not a place where you’ll find parties raging on till the morning. But cheap with alcohol and cool bars, you can definitely have fun in Coron, with loads of internationals and locals wandering the streets.
