A solo traveler who yearned for the thrill of exploration, Christine approached us in search of such a trip but her main concern was safety. We hooked her up on a 20 day voyage amidst the beautiful Philippines islands across a number of locations including Sagad, Vigan, Donsol and Banaue. Exploring the beautiful Cordillera mountains was the highlight of Christine’s trip. As she travelled across the country she mentions being enamored by the beautiful sights of Mt. Pinatubo and Mt. Mayon – two volcanoes that are amongst the country’s most picturesque locations. Once away from the mountains, she swam with whale sharks in Donsol, went solo kayaking in the Bacuit archipelago, and even spent a few lazy afternoons with her toes in the white sands of Coron and El Nido. As her trip came to an end, we were grinning ear to ear as a thoroughly excited Christine spoke on great length about the best trip of her life!

Manila, the capital of the Philippines, is the largest city in the country. With architecture and history spanning back centuries, metropolitan Manila displays the confluence of the old and the new standing together in harmony. Vibrant nightlife, colorful people, and cultural diversity make Manila the beating heart of the Philippines
2000-year old rice terraces carved into the hillsides, reaching as far as the eye can see. This is what awaits at Banaue, easily accessible from Manila. Take in the UNESCO listed terraces, or engage in outdoor, cultural and culinary activities, as you take in the beauty of life's simple pleasures.
The hill town of Sagada is famous for its laid-back cafes and refreshing mountain climate. If you seek some adventure away from the seas and coral reefs of the Philippines, Sagada is the place to be. Vast cave systems, huge waterfalls, the enticing Cordillera mountain range, the eerie hanging coffins and much more awaits you at Sagada.
Return to Manila to catch a flight to the islands.
Coron is a more serene El Nido. Where the neighboring city of El Nido is urban, Coron has preserved its tropical paradise charm. The days on this island are balmy and lazy. Coron is pure heaven for all those who want to chill. Limestone cliffs, Mt Tapyas, and some of the best beaches around, Coron invites all who seek serenity.
El Nido, many argue, is the most picturesque location in all of the Philippines. Pristine beaches, brilliant blue waters, dozens of islands in every direction you look and limestone monoliths rising out of the sea like stone sentinels guarding the island's beauty, make El Nido an amazing place that you simply cannot afford to miss out on!
Surrounded by a number of excellent beaches and even greater dive sites (rivaling any other in the world) Moalboal offers everything that you seek in the Philippines. There are scuba diving, free diving and excellent snorkeling opportunities galore around the city. Pristine beaches and tropical beauty make Moalboal a destination to die for.
In the Philippines, Donsol is almost synonymous with the whale shark. Locally known as Butanding, these gentle giants are known to feed in the warm waters that surround the island. The forests are teeming with fireflies, that light up the gloom of night and give the landscape an ethereal vibe. If you want to be one with nature, Donsol beckons.
